Blasters Reserves qualify for RFDL Zonals

The Blasters Reserves have booked their place in the Zonal Rounds of the Reliance Foundation Development League after navigating a competitive group-stage campaign with composure and character.

Drawn in a challenging group alongside Kovalam FC, Real Malabar FC, PFC Kerala, Kerala United FC, and SAI Kollam, the Blasters youngsters were tested across five matches that demanded consistency, resilience, and maturity beyond their years.

The campaign began in emphatic fashion as the Reserves opened with a commanding 5–0 victory over Kovalam FC, setting an early tone and underlining the attacking intent within the squad. While results in the following fixtures did not always go their way, the performances remained encouraging. Narrow defeats against Real Malabar FC (1–0) and PFC Kerala (2–1) were decided by fine margins, with the side continuing to compete with discipline and belief.

That resolve came to the fore in the latter stages of the group. A hard-fought 3–2 win against Kerala United FC proved pivotal, before the Blasters rounded off their group-stage journey with a confident 4–1 victory over SAI Kollam to seal qualification for the next phase of the competition.

Under the guidance of Amit Rana, Head of Youth Development, the Reserves demonstrated a strong collective mindset throughout the campaign. The focus remained firmly on development, game understanding, and executing the club’s playing principles, even in moments of adversity.

This qualification reflects the steady progress being made within Kerala Blasters FC’s youth system. The club continues to prioritise the long-term growth of young players, providing them with competitive environments that prepare them for the next step in their footballing journey.

As the Reserves move into the Zonal Rounds, the emphasis will remain unchanged: learn, compete, and continue building towards the future—one performance at a time.
