Ground: Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Goa
The Fatorda Stadium, officially known as the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, is the home ground of FC Goa. Established in 1989, it has also acted as the home ground of Hero I-League clubs Dempo SC, Salgaocar FC, Churchill Brothers SC, and Sporting Clube de Goa.
It has hosted India’s qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup and the AFC Asian Cup. After its renovation for the 2014 Lusofonia Games, massive attendances have been recorded at the stadium. The noise in a number of games, including the inaugural Hero ISL’s semi-final encounter between FC Goa and ATK as well as the final against Chennaiyin FC the following year, was deafening. It was also one of the six host venues for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup held in India.
