José Antonio Vicuña Ochandorena, popularly known as Kibu Vicuna was born in Spain.He now holds a Polish citizenship, and coached his first team when he was just 16. His passion for football and mentorship started very early, when he was asked to train the junior players of his school. Outside football, the Spaniard enjoys going to the gym, watching movies, swimming, playing badminton and reading psychology and management books.
With over 18 years of coaching experience, the former Spanish professional football player, has a vast and rich experience with a number of clubs from his native, Spain and Poland. For most of his coaching career he worked as the assistant of Jan Urban and various other first division Polish clubs.His first Indian experience started with his one-year stint with Mohun Bagun, wherein the club won the I-League during his maiden season, with four games to spare.He has been then appointed as the Head coach of Kerala Blasters FC for the 2020-21 season.
