Ivan’s men in yellow will face Odisha FC on 12th January 2022 at Tilak maidan in the second half of the Hero Indian Super League campaign.
After the victory against Hyderabad FC last Sunday, Kerala Blasters moved into the top spot of the points table, courtesy of the winning goal from Alvaro Vasquez, currently Blasters are 2nd in the table. During the match, captain Jessel Carneiro got injured and will be a missed in the blaster’s defence, while Ruivah Hormipam returned to the team with an impressive performance. He has developed a good combination with Leskovic in the defensive line, which has conceded just 10 goals from 10 matches. Kerala Blasters are now continuing an unbeaten streak of nine matches and have 17 points from 10 games in the first half of the season.

KEY PLAYERS.

Alvaro Vasquez scored the winning volley goal for the team against the Nizams and was awarded the Hero of the Match. He has scored a total of 4 goals this season and is the driving force when it comes to scoring goals.

Marko Leskovic played a pivotal role in the defensive line pairing up with Hormipam throughout the 90+ minutes last game. As in every game, he plays a vital role in keeping the incoming attacks at the threshold for the men in yellow.

HEAD TO HEAD.
Kerala Blasters defeated Odisha FC in the first half Of the league in a 2-1 scoreline where Alvaro Vazquez and Prasanth Karuthadathkuni scored to lead Kerala Blasters to the victory while Nikhil Raj scored Odisha’s reassurance in bottleneck time.
Both the teams have locked horns last season in which Odisha won the first leg in a 2-4 scoreline while the second match was squared off in a 2-2 draw.
