It’s the final day of Hero Indian Super League Season 8 and Kerala Blasters FC will be locking horns with Hyderabad FC on 20th March, at 7.30 PM at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda in Goa. Stakes are high this time as the men in yellow will be playing its third final in the league and are looking forward to nothing less than the trophy.

The Blasters camp is frenzied for playing the finals as well as seeing the fans on the stands after a long gap of two years. Hyderabad FC will be playing their first final since their debut in 2019 and are coming from a 3-2 aggregate win against ATK Mohun Bagan in the semi-finals. Manolo Màrquez’s team were second in the league table behind Jamshedpur FC this season and Bartholomew Ogbeche leads the golden boot race with 18 goals, which also makes Hyderabad FC, the most scoring team this season with 46 goals.

The two teams from the South have battled it off 6 times in the past where the results have been equal for both sides. Both Blasters and Hyderabad have three wins each, with some high-scoring clashes. This season, Blasters had a 1-0 victory over HFC courtesy of the goal from Alvaro Vazquez back in January, while in the reverse fixtures, Hyderabad got the upper hand with a 2-1 scoreline.
