TEAM NEWS

Kerala blasters will be locking horns with SC East Bengal on the Valentine’s day eve on a battle of revival.

Blasters were defeated for the 3rd time in Hero ISL 2021/22 last Thursday by Jamshedpur FC. THE YELLOW ARMY will be forced to defend without Marko Leskovic, Harmanjot Singh Khabra (Both on 4 yellow cards) and Ruivah Hormipam (injury) in the line-up. Coach Ivan Vukomanovic, who has always turned out to be ‘the problem solver’ in past by exceeding the expectations by finding perfect replacements whenever blasters have experienced such road blocks this season, may surprise the fans and opponents again.

After a 3 – 0 defeat against Jamshedpur FC, a ‘NEVER SAY DIE’ attitude from the Team and the ‘BIGGER THAN A DREAM’ kind of support from the fans, Blasters will give their best in this contest.

On the other hand, by registering only one win this season, SC East Bengal is a team who will be fighting all-out to prove few critics wrong with a win. Returning from a 2-1 defeat against Odisha FC makes the ‘THE RED AND GOLD BRIGADE’ craving for a victory. It will be interesting to see what Mario Rivera have saved for Kerala Blasters in ‘THE BATTLE OF PRESTIGE’

HEAD TO HEAD

Overall, in the Indian super league, both teams shared points in all 3 encounters between them.

KEY PLAYERS TO WATCH OUT

Jorge Pereyra Diaz back in the squad with Adrian Luna, Alvaro Vazquez and Sahal Abdul Samad will make the Kerala blasters attack stronger.

In the absence of Marko Leskovic, Harmanjot Singh Khabra and Ruivah Hormipam in the line-up, Ivan Vukomanovic’s replacements for them will play key role in the results.
