ArticlesClub NewsMatch Day Preview : KBFC v OFC

December 5, 2021by KBFC Media Desk

Kerala Blasters FC will host Odisha FC in our first home game of ISL season 8, on 5th December 2021, 7:30 PM at the Tilak Maidan Stadium.

After three matches, Kerala Blasters have only two points in the pocket and will be peering for a tremendous win against Odisha FC. In the last game, KBFC struggled to score against Bengaluru FC. Ashique kuruniyan’s bitter-sweet goals led the teams to split points at Bambolim.

While Odisha FC played an impressive game against East Bengal, which replicated a huge scoreline and are having a good season so far. Both teams are extremely dominant based on their squad and Blasters are desperate in need of a win.

Odisha FC won five times in their past 16 gatherings with Kerala Blasters and has the edge over Kerala with a win. The previous ISL game between the sides took place at the GMC Stadium in Goa and in a thrilling goal- feast, Kerala opened the scoring in the seventh minute through Jordan Murray, only to concede an equalizer in the 22nd minute through an own goal from Jeakson Singh. Gary Hooper struck late for Blasters, who were eventually blown away by Odisha on a 2-4 ledge. In the 7th edition of the Indian super league, we witnessed Odisha FC and Kerala Blasters FC play out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Fatorda stadium.

Harmanjot Khabra
He played the derby match against Bengaluru FC on 28 November, where he was labelled man of the match after the game ended in a 1–1 draw. In that match his execution was impressive and he tried to create several chances throughout the game.

Vincy Barretto
A great pace was shown by Vincy Barretto throughout the 66 minutes of the match he played and even attempted to score against Bengaluru FC, unfortunately, he couldn’t find the target. We hope Vincy gets his name on the scorecard this time.

Marko Leskovic

His contributions on the defensive side were impressive. Besides, Leskovic is a right-footed centre-back and in the last match, he played nicely against Bengaluru FC. Hopefully, he can play adequately against Odisha FC as well.
