Coach Kibu and Seityasen Singh addressed the media ahead of the team’s 9th game of the season against Odisha FC where they talked about their opponents, scoring and creating chances and much more.

Kibu had expressed the concern during the last match that the team has not been scoring goals. With this being the main concern for the team in terms of getting points and climbing up the table, Kibu was asked the ways he is addressing this issue.Kibu told that we are working and training hard. It is the only way we can improve. A good thing is that we created chances. The bad thing is that we did not score goals but if you have to score goals then you have to create chances first. We are working on this aspect to score goals.

Kibu was asked about his expectations from the match today in terms of the contest rather than the results. As the team showed a good performance against Hyderabad, he was asked if it would be like that game or any other game.

Kibu told that he expects a top match because they are a good team. They have good players and their own style. Our objective is to play a good match, control the game and score from the chances that we create. We have to respect the opponent, we will play our game and try to get the points. While our coach puts on a step by step process of focusing one game at a time, the coach was asked about his thoughts on the upcoming fixtures that have been revealed.

The coach told that it is going to be hard considering there is Covid. Sometimes we will not have enough time. We have games every week almost three matches. It will be difficult for the players and the team. However, we have to focus week by week.Talking of more domestic signings in the January transfer window, Kibu told that there will be no more players incoming. He also confirmed that Juande will be available for training and selection from Monday.

Seityasen has been with the team for a while now and the team has completed 8 matches in the season. Against Odisha FC, the team has a great opportunity to score and win as they are also struggling to keep up with other teams in the league. On this note, Seitya was asked whether it is a perfect opportunity for the team to re-launch themselves in the season?

Seitya told that it is indeed a great opportunity. We are working and focusing on the Odisha match. We are focusing well and we are trying to take the opportunity to score goals and get the 3 points.
